About Southern Roots Farm, LLC
Southern Roots Farm, LLC is family-owned and fully operational farm located close to beautiful Lake Anna in Bumpass, VA (Louisa County).  While our main focus is on the pasture raising of hogs and chickens, we wanted to share in the beauty of our property. Since we have an extensive background in wedding and event services we figured what better way to expand!

At Southern Roots Farm, we provide complete, experienced and stress-free wedding and event services at an inexpensive rate all under one company and in one location. We happily stand in as your guide, consultant, mediator, informant and constant supply of support throughout the planning and execution of your event.

We work diligently to create your event to reflect your personality and unique style and we will customize a package specifically for you based solely on your needs. We believe your day should be an unforgettable one, not one overcast by constant worry and stress that distracts you from taking in every moment.

At least one family member personally works all of our events to ensure that you receive the highest quality, excellence in service and accountability.

We will happily arrange any event such as: company events, birthdays, engagements, bar and bat mitzvahs, showers  as well as a variety of other events and festivals.

Our family looks forward to being able to serve your family and ensure that your special day is one to remember!

Beth grew up on her family's farm and started baking at a very young age, taught by her grandmother, she knew at a very young age exactly what she wanted to do when she grew up! Starting out baking cakes for family and friends, the business quickly took off, using only the freshest ingredients and her grandmother's recipes. Over the years many other services were added to her company, however  something was still missing from her life.

Beth returned to her roots with her husband by her side and started Southern Roots Farm, LLC taking pride in the life long lessons taught to her by her grandparents growing up on the farm and providing customers with the best in pasture raised meats and farm products.

Beth has maintained the level of professionalism, quality and customer service that her grandmother would be proud of!

Beth loves to spend what little bit of free time she gets with her husband, three children and other family, friends and managery of animals. She is a farm girl that loves the beach!
Committed to helping our customers achieve their dreams
Ashleigh Norford
Lead Baker &
Event Assistant
Jackie is the daughter of the woman that started it all and the mother of the woman who founded it all. She is the rock behind the business and assists Beth in all aspects.

Jackie owns the farm which supplies the fresh eggs used in all of our recipes as well as the goats who produce the milk for our goats' milk soap favors.

Running the farm and managing Chaos Cakes and Confections keeps Jackie pretty busy, however in her spare time she enjoys time with her family, her church family, sewing and cheese making.
Ashleigh is John and Beth's only daughter and middle child. She was taught to bake at a young age just as Beth was and Beth made sure that she was taught all of the family's secret recipes.  Ashleigh does the majority of the cake and cookie baking for the company and takes a great deal of pride in her work knowing that she is making her great grandmother proud.

Ashleigh is a attending college and is still undecided in her major. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, drawing, painting and shopping.

Anna was the backbone, heart and soul of our family. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She instilled in Beth at a very young age the love of baking and cooking and entertaining friends and family while providing quality food, products and excellent "customer service". All of the important things that our company is still built around today.

Anna had a deep love for her family and God. She loved baking, sewing and listening to Gospel music.

Although she has been in her Heavenly home since 2014 her spirit lives on through Beth, her family and this company
